Funded PhD studentship opportunities

19/11/2021

The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of East Anglia, UK, is seeking applications for PhD studentships in the Leverhulme Trust’s ‘Critical Decade for Climate Change’ doctoral training programme. These include 3 projects associated with DeepDCarb  academics:
  • Project 1: Climate mitigation through the decisions of courts: a critical evaluation.
  • Project 2: How are publics' climate change attitudes and behaviours influenced by politicians?
  • Project 3: Delivering net zero requires local political action: what will the role of local politicians be in the critical decade?
The studentships, which will start in October 2022, offer excellent opportunities to 1) conduct cutting-edge research, 2) join a dynamic and vibrant research environment, and 3) work with teams of top researchers.

Each scholarship covers tuition fees (for both home and international students), a maintenance stipend (£15,285 per year in 2022/23) and a generous research and training support grant of up to £8,000 over the course of the 4 year PhD programme.
